Care Tinto Joven

DESCRIPTION

Voted “Best for $10 or less!” by Wine and Spirits Magazine

While the Tinto Joven springs from young vines that are less than 25 years old, Care has produced an elegant, powerful wine that demonstrates complex properties, evident in its elements of being fruity but not sweet. The Syrah and Garnacha grapes making up the Tinto Joven came from Care’s own vineyards in the Cariñena region of Spain, where pre- fermentation cold maceration took place over four days, followed by fermentation at 28 degrees Celsius. Fruit is the pervading characteristic of this wine, from its black cherry color shot through with violet layers and fragrant aromas on the nose featuring ripe red and black fruit to its fruity taste on the palate, which culminates in a long, intense finish. Very capable of standing alone, it can also be paired with roast meats or rich salads. The October 2013 issue of Wine and Spirits magazine voted Tinto Joven “Best for $10 or less”.
