The Grignolino is a very versatile wine, bringing the characteristics of the mediterranean climate and production zones of Piedmont, Monferrato, Alfieri Hills, Asti, and San Damiano d’Asti. The Grignolino grape is grown in limey, clayey, sandy, and calcareous soil at an altitude of 180 – 340m. The wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures, matured in stainless steel for 4 months, and bottled for at least 3 months.
With a color that is cherry red and dark rose with clear orange nuances, this is a complex and lovely wine. On the nose, the Grignolino is intense and soft with fresh, lively, and balanced tannins and long and pleasant finish. It is highly versatile and is the perfect wine for aperitifs when served at cooler temperatures, and at room temperature it is perfect for seasoned salami and cheese.
