Paolo e Noemia d’Amico Seiano Rosso


Despite being able to be used as an everyday table wine, the Seiano Rosso is a wonderful offering that has been lovingly prepared in Central Italy’s Umbria region. Following manual harvesting, the must and peels were placed in stainless steel decanters, where they were fermented over several days. Following pressing, the wine was moved to stainless steel tanks, which very much contributes to the Seiano Rosso’s very mellow taste and clean finish. Finally, it was aged for three months, mostly in stainless steel tanks but also partially in oak barrels. The Seiano Rosso displays a clear ruby red color that belies its powerful aroma of violets and cherries for the nose, and this wine greets the palate with earthiness, cherry and blackberry, giving it a warmth paired with smooth tannins. It’s best served with light first courses and non-spiced red and white meat.
